Signing Up And Setting Up The Account

“How do I sign-up?”

  • Click on the “Sign Up” button on the homepage to register for a free account. It’s underneath the image of a woman holding a recycling container. Registration takes less than 2 minutes.
  • Registered accounts may have several members as a way to share earned points.
  • Confirmed accounts are connected to addresses based on geo-spacing information. If you move, simply go online and update your account with your new address.
  • Each week or bi-weekly depending when your recycling cart is picked up at your curb or in the alley, your registered account will automatically receive your points.
  • Users may login anytime, 24/7 to redeem points for discounts from local businesses.
  • www.EnviroPerks.com is accessible from a desktop computer, tablet or smartphone.

“Do I Need To Enter My Container Number?”

If you live in a service area that uses GPS technology (currently all Virginia cities, and Hollywood, FL), there is no need to add your container number as of August 2016.

Recycling And Earning Points

“How do I earn points?”

EnviroPerks is a curbside recycling incentive program available in the cities listed here.

Each time your recycling container is picked up by the recycling vehicle on your scheduled recycling day, your account will be credited with points.

“How do you know when I recycle/How do I earn points?”

If you live in a service area that uses GPS technology (all Virginia cities, and Hollywood, FL), the truck will send the longitude and latitude coordinates of the container picked up, to the EnviroPerks website. The website will then credit the account linked to those GPS coordinates, with the points. That’s why you don’t need to enter your container number to your account, but only your address.

Additional Points, Promo Code And Referrals

“I don’t have a promo code, where do I find one?”

Promo codes are extra codes provided by EnviroPerks. Normally, you can find hidden promo codes on EnviroPerks’ various social media pages, on our website, on our printed material and when you see our representatives at local events.

“Where do I put the promo code?”

If you have a promo code, login or sign-up, and then please go to “My Account”. At the bottom of the page, you will find a section “Have a promo code?”. There, you can enter your promo code to get the additional points from the promo code. Please note, promo code can have an expiration date.

“I referred a friend but didn’t get the points.”

The link that you send to friends’ or relatives’ email address is unique to your EnviroPerks account. You forward the link to whomever you want to encourage to sign up and when they click it and sign up, then you receive points for that referral. You will only get your referral points if the friends used your link to sign-up. Watch the tutorial here.

Authorized Users

“What is an Authorized User and how do I add one to my account?”

One account, just like one household, can have several users/inhabitants, that’s why you can add all of the people who live or work at the same address into one account. The users can then share the points earned. Simply log in to the account, and on the “My Account” screen, towards the bottom of the page, you will find a section called “Other Authorized Users”. There, you can add users to your account. Authorized Users will have to create their own login and password, once that is complete all users will be able to access the shared account.

Redeeming Rewards

“How do I redeem rewards?”

You can shop by category by selecting “click here to shop by category and city”. You’re also able to create customized searches for rewards that you want. Below you will find some tips on how to create those searches.

  • Use the search bar to search for a keyword.
  • Selecting All Rewards will display all of our rewards in all of our service areas.
  • Near Home will show rewards closest to the address on your account.
  • Near Me is best for when shopping when on the go with your mobile phone. It’ll show you rewards based on your location!
  • You can click on “Click here to shop by category and city” to choose a category, a specific business, or service area. Make sure to click search when you’re ready for the results.

“My reward didn’t print, what do I do?”

Please make sure that you are allowing pop-ups as the reward will open in a new window or tab.

If you are using Internet Explorer or AOL this may be the reason you’re not able to print the reward. We advise using Google Chrome as it works best with all the features of our site. You will also need a free download of the Adobe Reader software because the print to format is PDF.

  • After adding a reward to your cart select checkout from the “My Perks” page.
  • When you’re ready to redeem on your phone tap Redeem on phone.
  • The next screen will need to be shown to the business so they can view the reward. They will then tap Accepted by Retailer in order for the process to be complete.

Did you know that if you have a mobile device you’re able to redeem rewards on your phone – no printing necessary? You can either shop for the reward entirely on your phone or shop on a computer. You’ll be able to redeem on your device by following the steps below.

“How do I print my reward?”

After selecting “Checkout” from the “My Cart” icon, your rewards will now be found in “My Perks”. You will then be able to print or redeem the rewards on your mobile device. Please watch the tutorial here.

“It won’t let me redeem a reward, what do I do?”

EnviroPerks works with many local businesses to bring you a selection of rewards. Those businesses are given the opportunity to customize their rewards. This includes being able to set how many rewards users are allowed to redeem in total and/or per account. If you are unable to redeem any particular reward, simply look for the red alert box in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen for the alert messages.

“How do I give a reward to someone?”

Gifting a reward is easy and it can brighten someone’s day. Follow these steps to give a gift.

  1. Find the reward you want to gift, add it to your cart, and select “checkout”.
  2. Click on Other Actions and select “Gift to someone”.
  3. Enter the recipient’s name and email, and then click on “Gift This Reward”.

Everyone likes to receive a gift so make sure you enter the correct email address or they won’t receive it.

“Someone gifted me a reward but how do I open the reward?”

Recipients of a gifted reward will need to create an account if they don’t have one yet. After they have created their account, they’ll be able to view and print the reward.

Pick-up Reminder

“My collection day reminder is wrong, how do I fix it?”

To adjust your collection day reminders, first access your EnviroPerks account and follow the steps below to update your reminder:

  • Click on Add/Edit pick-up Reminders
  • Select the date of your next collection by clicking in the gray rectangle, the black arrow, or the calendar icon.
  • Check the box of the person you want to receive the reminder and click Save.

“Can I receive points for having two recycling containers?”

Password

“How do I reset my password?”

Select the “forgot password” option, you will then be prompted to enter your email in order to reset your password and EnviroPerks will email you a link. Please make sure links are enabled so you can click the link. Otherwise, you’ll be able to copy and paste the link directly into your browser.

If you continue to have difficulty accessing your account, please email us at info@enviroperks.com and we will reset your account and send you a manual Password Reset email.

Recycling Or Points Missed

“My container hasn’t been picked up, why?”

EnviroPerks is a residential incentive program that rewards residents for recycling. We are not the hauler who services or provides the recycling carts. Please contact your local hauler.

“Why have I not received points   when I have been recycling regularly?”

We apologize that your points were not automatically awarded. The technology carried by the hauler’s trucks lift more than 1000 recycling containers per day, there are times when the equipment needs a minor repair or must be replaced. If you notice that your points have not been automatically awarded to your account, please send us an email to info@enviroperks.com so we can review your account and work with the local hauler to resolve any issues that may exist.

“I signed up by EnviroPerks is not in my city, what do I do now?”

We are sorry to hear that EnviroPerks is not currently partnered with your local municipality. We are making efforts to be in every city, however, the proper implementation of RFID or GPS technology needed to know which residents have truly participated in the curbside recycling program is still needed in some areas.

Please feel free to use any participation points you have been awarded and stay tuned for occasional opportunities to attend free events where you can earn points for community enrichment participation.
