Home to the Violet Bank Museum and Swift Creek Mill, Colonial Heights is full of history! Colonial Heights residents are mighty in their enthusiasm for recycling! They hold an annual Fool for Art Festival that covers everything from science to games, and they recycle every other week.

Colonial Heights is part of the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority, so Colonial Heights residents can find much-needed waste and recycling information on the CVWMA-Colonial Heights page. Recycling in Colonial Heights is every other Friday. If you need a reminder emailed to you about recycling collection day, use the collection reminder tool found in your EnviroPerks My Account page.
Colonial Heights trash containers are red and recycling containers are green. The City has created a Frequently Asked Questions pamphlet which you can view and download online by clicking here.
