Norfolk, VA
Abstract
It’s pronounced Nor-folk and residents are keeping it green! With waterways, trees, and abundant marshland and wetlands to protect, Norfolk made it a priority to be cleaner, greener, and smarter. One way you can help is by recycling! And, you’ll get rewarded for recycling with EnviroPerks. Your recycling containers are bright blue and recycling collection is every other week.

Enviroperks, The Program
Norfolk is central to Hampton Roads and is home to many great attractions that keep residents occupied when they’re not recycling and being green. Norfolkians are hipper than hipsters when it comes to recycling and the environment.
Need A Second Recycling Cart?
Norfolk wants to make sure you can recycle as much as possible. They’ll gladly deliver a second recycling cart if you need one! Email the Norfolk Impact Center at healthyneighborhoods@norfolk.gov to request a second cart.
Recycling Beyond The Cart
There are many items that can be recycled, but not in your curbside cart, like household hazardous waste. If you would like to recycle batteries, electronics, and other hazardous materials, visit the City’s recycling website.
